Originally from Vermont, Ana Lygia is a clinical herbalist, educator, and artist. A graduate of the three-year certificate program at ArborVitae School of Traditional Herbalism in New York, Ana creates curriculum and individualized protocols for everyone to bring the magic of herbalism into their lives, with tools rooted in daily self-care.

Her maternal great-grandmother, Adele Dawson, was an herbalist, gardener, artist, and activist. Ana values drawing on her ancestral lineage (Irish, Welsh, Scottish, Polish, French, Jewish), as well as her grandmother's legacy, to support community wellness.

She has a particular interest in soothing imbalances of the heart– including grief, addictions, anxiety, and the repercussions of chronic stress. She has been alcohol-free since 2018, and incorporates the joys of a sober life into her work. Ana lives in Brooklyn where she enjoys botanizing in Prospect Park, thrifting, and building altars.

Ana knows that living in a capitalist heteropatriachary, healing, wellness and plant medicine are not apolitical. She is on a constant journey to educate herself to investigate and dismantle her own racism, as well as show up to anti-racism work being lead by activists of color. As the income of her business grows she seeks to make larger monetary contributions to organizations leading this crucial work. For anti-racism and healing justice educational resources and where to donate, please head to the resources page.

June Eye Herbals LLC is a small company, founded in 2019, built in service of the magic of plants. Its mission is to facilitate our collective return to our innate and historical connections to the plants we coevolved with.

Nestled in the place where art and wellness meet, June Eye Herbals provides a platform for hands-on creative engagement that nurtures the body and soul. Guided by principles of justice and joy, these workshops and activations teach reciprocal relationships to the plant world, to heal our healing practices.

Offerings also include sliding scale 1:1 consultations, holistic recovery coaching, consulting services, and small batch herbal remedies with an emphasis on alcohol-free herbalism that supports the nervous system.
